People often ask me, “what is it like to own a helicopter?”. It depends on who is asking what my answer will be. The basic answer is, GREAT! To be free to fly, see and set down pretty much where you want
“Local Lens Seattle ” Winery Tour
Had a great time yesterday. Lots of wind, but it's amazing on how comfortable and smooth the ride is in a heli. Thanks Dale.
I'm fascinated by the geological history of Eastern Washington. The Columbia River basin was formed by a 1000 foot wall of water gushing at 65mph, and this repeated dozens of times, at the end of the last ice age. The best way to see this is by air. Dale took us on a totally fun 1.5hr tour -- over the Grand Coulee dam, exploring the towering edges of Banks Lake, and zipping around the nooks and crannies of amazing Dry Falls, and through Moses Coulee. Equally interesting was the contrast between dry desert farming (who knew?) and the lush irrigated regions. Bring your camera with a polarizing filter, wear black to minimize reflections, and get some amazing pictures.
